New Delhi [India]February 22 (ANI): BJP leader Nishikant Dubey on Sunday sparked debate by taking on former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to emphasize how the BJP government under Prime Minister Modi was projecting India’s development to the world, while the Congress was always focusing on the negative aspects.

Prime Minister Nehru used to show the world snake dance, while PM Modi showcases technology and artificial intelligence, Dubey claimed, adding that such a contradiction naturally raises anger. (that I)

Prime Minister Nehru used to show the world snake dance, while PM Modi showcases technology and artificial intelligence, Dubey claimed, adding that such a contradiction naturally raises anger. He also shared a historic photo from 1962 showing Nehru welcoming Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of then US President John F Kennedy.

“Congress PM Nehru used to show the world the snake dance, BJP PM Modi used to show the world technology and artificial intelligence, and the anger arises, doesn’t it? This is a picture from 1962 of Nehru welcoming Jacqueline, wife of then US President Kennedy,” Dubey wrote on X.

Dubey’s remarks come after Congress cadres staged a protest at the AI Impact Summit even as world leaders were in attendance.

Earlier, members of the Indian Youth Congress on Friday staged a protest at the Bharat Mandapam summit venue by removing their T-shirts bearing slogans of ‘compromising PM’.

Party workers removed their shirts as a sign of opposition. The Patiala House Court on Saturday rejected the bail applications of all four Indian Youth Congress workers arrested in connection with the protest and sent them to police custody for five days.

The AI Impact Summit 2026, held in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, concluded with the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact, marking a major milestone in global AI collaboration.

The Declaration was approved by 88 countries and international organizations, reflecting a broad global consensus on leveraging AI for economic growth and social good.

Guided by the principle of “Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya” (well-being for all, happiness for all), the Declaration emphasizes that the benefits of artificial intelligence should be shared fairly among humanity.

The summit called for strengthening international cooperation and engaging multiple stakeholders while respecting national sovereignty. The conference emphasized promoting artificial intelligence through accessible and trustworthy frameworks and building a common understanding on how artificial intelligence can serve humanity.
