The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the National Eligibility Admission Test (Undergraduate) 2026 on Thursday. As many as 11.21 lakh candidates are eligible for admission in Medicine, Dentistry, AYUSH and Allied Health Sciences courses across the country.

NTA conducted the test on June 21 at 5,440 centers in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Nearly 20,000 candidates attended the test, which was conducted in 13 languages.
The agency said in an official statement that more than 58 percent of the qualified candidates are women. She added that candidates from almost all states and union territories secured qualifying marks.
A total of 138 candidates scored 690 or above out of 720. More than 93 per cent of these candidates appeared for NEET (UG) for the first time.
NTA released the final answer key before announcing the result.
Sharing details of the top performers, the agency said that Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panchul Bansal from Haryana together scored the highest score of 715 out of 720.
The results were declared on time to keep the admission and medical counseling calendar on track, NTA said.
“The results were declared within a period of time by re-engineering the process, with phases designed to run in parallel rather than sequentially, and with the OMR paper challenge separated from the answer key release. Each phase was fully completed and available for candidate viewing,” the NTA said.
The scorecards are now available on the official NEET website for all the candidates.
