Munu Manesar, alias Mohit Yadav, was released from Bharatpur’s Sawar jail on Saturday after the Rajasthan High Court granted him bail in connection with the Junaid and Nasir murder case.

The Supreme Court granted him bail on Thursday after spending about two-and-a-half years in prison, Manesar’s lawyer Naveen Kumar Jangda said. The lawyer said: “He was released on Saturday afternoon after completing the official procedures.” Bharatpur police arrested Manesar in September 2023 in connection with the February 16, 2023 murder of two men, Junaid (35) and Nasir (27), cousins from Bharatpur, whose charred bodies were found inside a car in Haryana’s Bhiwani district.
