Over 700 employees and trainees of a private IT company at the IT hub of Hinjewadi in Pune, Maharashtra were left without jobs, and without salaries and benefits, after the organization was suddenly shut down. Thakare was also the head of training and development of the company and apart from him, the HR director is also under police check. The CEO’s arrest came after a complaint was filed by a 25-year-old trainee, and about 30 others also spoke out against the company.

Serious allegations have been leveled against the company and Thakare has been booked on charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust, news agency ANI reported.

The Forum for Information Technology Employees (FITE) said several employees had contacted the authority for help. “We have approached Hinjewadi police to file an FIR against the company owners after several trainees complained to us,” Pavanjeet Mani, president of FITE, told ANI.

He said: “The company started operations last year and initially paid salaries to new employees. But from January onwards, the employees’ wages were not paid. The company owners kept setting new dates for paying salaries whenever employees approached them, but they never fulfilled these promises.”

According to reports, the company has recruited several engineering graduates from various places in Maharashtra, including Yavatmal, Jalgaon and Nashik.

Employees saw the company’s doors closed on April 22, with a notice from its landlord taped to its glass door, requesting pending rent and other maintenance fees, according to an Indian Express report.

Thynk Tech was included in the recruitment drives of several well-known institutions in Maharashtra, giving the company some credibility, the report said. “We thought that if reputable colleges were allowing Thynk Tech to hire on campus, they must have done a background check,” one intern was quoted as saying. any.

Thynk Tech India OPC Pvt is a company that operates from its branch office at Hinjewadi Phase 2 in Pune, while its registered head office is located in Noida. Police are currently investigating the company’s financial transactions to determine the extent of the fraud to which employees may have been exposed.

Harshal Thakare, the accused arrested in the case, is the CEO and head of training and development of the company. According to FITE, the company started operations in Pune last year.
