A girl from north-eastern India, Manipur, was allegedly attacked on Sunday evening near Saket District Court Complex, New Delhi. A girl is walking with her friends in the park when a group of men make inappropriate remarks towards them.

When one of the girls objected to the comments, the situation escalated and she was reportedly assaulted by the group of men.
The injured girl was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for medical examination and treatment. Initial reports indicate that she will recover soon, and she also suffered minor injuries.
The police have contacted the victim, and the investigation is still ongoing.
Earlier on February 25, the couple accused of racist assault and criminal intimidation towards three women from Arunachal Pradesh in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
Delhi Police said that the alleged accused and her husband were arrested in connection with this case.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of February 20, when three women, who were tenants of an apartment complex in Malviya Nagar, alleged that they were subjected to mental harassment and humiliation, though no physical injuries were reported. A simple incident of grievance turned into a volatile confrontation.
According to the police, the investigation is now being conducted by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, and the investigation is closely supervised by senior officials.
Delhi Police further informed that during the investigation, relevant provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act were relied upon based on the material available on record.
Earlier, the police lodged an FIR at PS Malviya Nagar and it has been registered under Section 79 of the NSP (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), Section 351(2) (punishment for criminal intimidation), Section 196 (promoting hostility between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, etc.) and Section 3(5) (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
