India on Saturday issued a warning to travelers stranded at airports in the United Arab Emirates amid escalating conflict in the Middle East following US-Israeli-Iran strikes.

In a warning issued late on Saturday, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi said that the embassy and consulate were in contact with the UAE authorities.
“The embassy and consulate are in contact with the UAE authorities and airlines to take care of Indian passengers stranded at airports in the UAE due to the temporary and precautionary airspace closure,” the advisory said.
The embassy said that the UAE government and aviation authorities confirmed their full support for the Indian government.
This warning comes in the wake of Iranian retaliatory attacks targeting US bases in the Middle East, including Dubai, Doha, Riyadh, Bahrain and Kuwait, prompting airlines to suspend their flights to and from the region.
The airspace over the Middle East remains largely closed even as explosions continue to be reported in the UAE and neighboring countries. Many passengers were stranded at Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports, the main travel and transit hubs, following flight operations.
Sanjeev Mehta, an Indian passenger stranded at the airport, told ANI: “I came to Abu Dhabi to attend a friend’s party over the weekend and we are stuck here. Now we are at the airport. Many alarms went off at the airport and as the news says, some missiles have fallen. There have also been missile attacks.”
