The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has sent 28 leaders to address ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ press conferences across the country on June 25, 2026.

In a press statement, the party said that the campaign seeks a comprehensive reform of India’s education system, starting with the resignation of Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
“Through this campaign, the Indian National Congress is demanding a comprehensive reform of India’s education system, starting with the resignation of Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, who embodies the Modi government’s lack of vision and dogmatic approach to education,” the statement said.
The Congress also accused the BJP-led government of promoting privatization, centralization and “centralization” of education over the past 12 years.
“For the past twelve years, the RSS-BJP government has sought only to privatize, centralize and formalize education, and has done little to prepare India’s youth for the future. The crisis today is not only one of unemployment, it is also one of employability.”
The party said that the press conferences will represent the beginning of a national dialogue on building a modern, comprehensive and future-ready educational system.
The statement added: “These press conferences represent the beginning of a national dialogue on building a modern, comprehensive and future-ready education system, and the Congress Party calls on students, teachers, parents and concerned citizens to be part of this crucial conversation.”
