Telangana Chief Minister A. “The data center project will significantly boost investor confidence and encourage more multinational companies to set up operations in the upcoming city of the future, which the government envisions as one of the most advanced and sustainable urban centers in the world,” he said after the groundbreaking ceremony.

Reddy said the state government organized the Telangana Rising Global Summit in December 2025 to attract investments from Fortune 500 companies for the future city project. He said that the summit witnessed the participation of nearly 3,000 representatives from leading international companies in 108 countries.

The long-term economic vision of the state under the **Telangana Rising-2047** strategy is to transform Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, he said.

The Prime Minister said that attracting investments and creating large-scale job opportunities are essential to achieving these goals. He said that the government is committed to providing world-class infrastructure, seamless approvals and all necessary facilities for industrial development.

Reddy called on Amazon to expand its presence in the state, and expressed his hope that the company would raise its cumulative investments in Telangana to $1 lakh crore by 2034. He also announced that the government will hold monthly review meetings to monitor industrial projects, including ad hoc reviews of Amazon investments.

He said investments by global companies like Amazon will have a ripple effect by attracting ancillary industries and encouraging more companies to set up operations in the surrounding region.

Reddy said that the government is working to transform Hyderabad into a pollution-free city. He stressed the need to gradually shift polluting industries, rejuvenate the Musi River and expand the metro rail network to meet the needs of the city’s growing population.

As part of the state’s Clean Mobility Initiative, the Chief Minister said the government has prepared plans to convert the bus fleet of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation into electric buses in a phased manner. It is also working to convert nearly 200,000 diesel autorickshaws into electric vehicles through retrofitting.

To promote electric mobility, the government has granted complete exemption from registration tax on electric vehicles despite the estimated annual revenue loss $1500 crores, he said. The move is aimed at ensuring that Hyderabad does not face the severe pollution challenges seen in many other major Indian cities.

Reddy thanked the farmers who voluntarily gave up their lands for setting up infrastructure projects like the regional ring road and radial roads, saying their contribution would remain immortal in the history of Telangana’s development.

He stressed that the government remains committed to resolving all outstanding issues related to land acquisition and directed officials to ensure that eligible farmers receive appropriate compensation without delay.
