Police have released two men accused of attacking Kokruch Janta Party founder Abhijit Debki in Jaipur. In a video clip that went viral on social media, the men received a standing ovation after their release, then received wreaths from their supporters.

This incident comes days after two accused were arrested on charges of slapping the CJP founder during a peaceful protest in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The incident against Debke went viral, as a video clip of the man returning to Boston being slapped was circulated on social media platforms.
The video shows two men surrounded by their supporters outside a police station, chanting “Inquilab Zindabad.” (Long live the revolution). Besides, chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ were also heard.
Debaki says ‘he won’t be intimidated’
After the incident, Abhijit Debaki took to social media to issue a statement regarding the attack. The CJP founder said he would not be intimidated by the attack and would continue to raise his voice against irregularities in the education system.
“I was attacked while entering the protest site,” Debke said. “No matter how many attacks there are, I will not raise my hand against anyone. Cowards resort to violence.”
He added: “You call me a Pakistani, you call those gathered here Pakistanis, and you even call the journalists asking questions Pakistanis. But we will not be intimidated by such tactics. We will continue to raise our voices for the youth.”
The attack on Debaki took place during a protest on June 15 in Jaipur. Two men rushed towards the CJP founder as his supporters were carrying him to the protest site, pulled him by his scarf and slapped him several times.
Debaki’s supporters responded by beating the attackers before handing them over to the police, leading to the attackers being arrested.
