As pilgrims travel along the Jammu-Srinagar corridor to attend the annual Amarnath Yatra, they stop at specific viewpoints so they can admire the Chenab Railway Bridge, the highest railway arch bridge in the world.

This has become a major attraction for pilgrims with hundreds witnessing the famous engineering marvel in the Reasi district every day, news agency ANI reported on Sunday. The bridge’s soaring steel arch became the subject of wide-angle photos and videos that then went viral on social media.

Since the start of the annual pilgrimage season, the Chenab Railway Bridge has witnessed a steady influx of tourists and devotees, with the engineering marvel becoming an integral part of the yatra experience.
The landmark has enhanced the appeal of Reasi by offering visitors a unique blend of spiritual tourism, world-class infrastructure and the breathtaking natural beauty of Jammu and Kashmir, ANI reported.
Meanwhile, as the Amarnath Yatra 2026 continues in full swing, the CRPF has played a pioneering role in ensuring the safety and well-being of devotees through a dedicated security and humanitarian services network along the National Highway 44.
CRPF personnel are conducting continuous Road Opening Operations (ROP) to maintain a smooth security cover on the highway. In addition to its core security duties, the 84th Battalion of the CRPF has set up a mobile health camp at Chanderkot in Ramban district, to provide round-the-clock care to pilgrims and locals alike.
The specialist medical team working under the supervision of CRPF 84 Battalion Commander N Ranbir Singh, led by Chief Medical Officer Dr Anantha Krishnan, and ancillary staff equipped with advanced life-saving ambulance and life-saving medicines, are providing prompt healthcare services, reflecting CRPF’s commitment to both the safety and well-being of the yatris throughout their pilgrimage.
