A missing complaint led police to a horrific discovery inside a guest accommodation (PG) in Gurugram, where a 25-year-old woman was found dead in a pool of blood.

Hours later, investigators discovered that her boyfriend, an artificial intelligence engineer, had also died by suicide, news agency PTI reported.
The deceased woman and her boyfriend were working in the same private company in Gurugram. The man was staying in a PG residence in Sector 55.
The incident came to light after the woman’s family went to the Sector 56 police station on Saturday after they were unable to contact her.

A missing person’s complaint leads police to the woman’s body
Based on the complaint, police traced the location of the woman’s mobile phone to the man’s residence in Sector 55. Officers questioned the neighbours, who said they were not aware of any disturbance or incident. Police then opened the room, PTI reported.
Inside the room, investigators found the woman’s body lying in a pool of blood, with blood scattered throughout the room. Initial investigations indicate that she was stabbed to death. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) visited the scene and collected evidence.
During the investigation, the police discovered that the Government Railway Police had already recovered the body of a man from the railway tracks near Garhi railway station. He died after being hit by a train.

The police later identified him through the mobile phone from which he was found, and linked the railway death to the murder case.
Preliminary findings revealed that the woman started living with the man in the PG accommodation three days before the incident.
He added: “We are investigating every aspect of the case. The nature of the relationship between the two people and the reasons behind the incident will not be revealed until the investigation is completed.”
“Police are also checking their mobile phones, details of their calls and chats and other technical evidence. An FIR for the murder has been registered and further investigation is underway,” the Sector 56 SHO said, as quoted by PTI.
