Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) chief Abhijit Debaki on Friday claimed that the police did not answer his calls as he sought permission to expand the protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where protesters demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Addressing a large crowd of students and supporters at the second protest of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over alleged examination irregularities and repeated paper leaks, Abhijit Debaki urged the authorities to allow the protesters to continue their sit-in.

Debaki on extending the protest
“I request the authorities… since youth from all over the country are here. They want to sit here until we get justice. (I request Delhi Police to extend our permission. The protest has been peaceful, we are just innocent students who want to sit here,” Debki said).
The youth leader said that communication channels remained open, but stressed that “the only condition is the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.”
He also appealed to the Delhi Police to “open a dialogue with the Centre” and asserted: “If there are arrests, I will be the first to be arrested by the court.”

Debke urged his supporters to gather at Jantar Mantar at 6pm, expressing confidence that the police would grant permission to continue the protest.
