A 27-year-old IT professional from Delhi was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a house on Mussoorie-Dhanaulti Road in Uttarakhand.

The victim, identified as P Radha Gayatri, a resident of Kidwai Nagar East in Delhi, arrived at Kiana Homestay Tipridhar late on Sunday night with her husband, Soumya Sricharan, an IT worker in Pune.

Police said they received information about an unresponsive woman at home, following which an ambulance was sent to the house in Uttarakhand, PTI reported.

The irresponsible woman was found lying in a pool of urine with blood bleeding from her nose. A pharmacist attached to the ambulance service announced the woman’s death.

What led to the accident?

Preliminary investigation revealed that the couple had come from Delhi to Rishikesh on June 13. The two checked into a room called ‘Bliss’ at the property at around 11.30pm the following night.

Husband Sricharan told police that the two consumed alcohol at night and went to sleep around 3.30 am, according to the news agency.

He said that when he woke up in the morning, he found his wife unresponsive in a pool of urine with blood bleeding from her nose.

The couple, originally from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, got married on November 8, 2025.

What did the police say?

Police said they received a phone call from the husband at around 10 am stating that his wife was found unconscious.

The police said in a statement: “The body of the deceased was found on the floor without clothes, and blood stains were observed on the bed sheet. Two empty liquor bottles and food items were recovered from the room.”

The body was taken to Coronation Hospital in Dehradun for autopsy.

Mussoorie district officer Jagdish Pant said the woman’s family had requested an investigation into the cause of death.

“An examination of the woman’s body was also conducted today. Both families have arrived. The woman’s family has requested an investigation into the cause of death,” Pant said.
