A fire was reported inside Terminal 1B of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai on Thursday. According to Mumbai Fire Brigade fire chief Ravindra Ambulgikar, the fire was reported in cable trays and switch boxes inside the station.

Moreover, the fire is said to be confined to the ground floor of the station. Mumbai Fire Brigade, police and ward staff were sought to extinguish the fire.

Speaking to HT, Central Industrial Security Force officers said that airport fire engines tried to douse the fire after the incident was reported; However, they had to seek additional help from the Mumbai Fire Brigade.
