A seven-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped by a man in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. According to the report, a man kidnapped the girl while she was sleeping next to her mother at night and raped her at a nearby crematorium.

As reported by news agency PTI, the accused has been identified as Rahul and has been arrested for the crime. Circle Officer (Chatha) Bhushan Verma revealed that the incident occurred on Wednesday night at Surwari village under Kausikalan police station area.

The accused allegedly smashed a window to break into the victim’s house and kidnapped her while she was sleeping next to her mother. He gagged the victim and dragged her to a nearby incinerator.

Officials stated that the father and other family members were not aware of the incident as they were sleeping in the next room. The victim’s family learned about the matter for the first time when they woke up the next morning and discovered that the girl was missing.

A search team was quickly launched to find the girl, who was found an hour later, unconscious in a crematorium outside the village. A case was filed against the accused by the victim’s family.

The accused was charged under the relevant articles, while the victim was sent for a medical examination. Verma added that further legal action in this matter is now underway.
