CJP’s Chalo Sansad rally

Thousands of supporters, along with the Kokroch Janta Party, gathered at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to head to Parliament today at 9am. The march comes as part of the group’s online demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over NEET UG papers leak and other examination irregularities.

Along with the CJP, climate activist, innovator and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk also called for the march. Wangchuk, who is on an indefinite hunger strike, is currently hospitalized in Safdarjung after authorities “forcibly” removed him from the protest site over the weekend.

The action by the authorities came after a Delhi High Court order allowed interference with fasting if Wangchuk’s health deteriorated.
