According to the police, the accused are residents of the same village as the young woman.

The family claimed that the accused raped the young woman and photographed her. After that, she was constantly blackmailed with threats to spread the video widely.

The police said that the young woman, suffering from psychological pressure and fear of defamation, took the extreme step on Tuesday night.

The family of the deceased filed a complaint against four young men. Following the complaint, the police registered an FIR at Bayshore police station and initiated an investigation.

The incident sparked widespread anger in the village, as the family demanded that strict measures be taken against the accused.

The police said they are investigating all aspects of the case and will arrest the accused soon.

“After the autopsy, we handed over her body to the family. Four special police teams, including the cybercrime team, are investigating. The police are also investigating when the video was shot, who accessed it, and how long the extortion scheme was going on,” Inspector Rajbir Singh, superintendent of police, Bishore, said.
