Wheelhouse acquires Shark Week staple Anomaly Entertainment

Wheelhouse has just found a production company that is in its wheelhouse. So he bought it.

Wheelhouse has acquired Anomaly Entertainment, which was founded in 2017 by former Discovery Channel producers and commissioners Matthew Kelly and Michael Sorensen. Anomaly produced 40 shows for Shark Week (Shaq is doing Shark Week, The great white abyss, Jaws wake up, The Legend of Deep Blue, Donkey Shark Week, Shark Journey: Eat, pray, my friendetc.) over the past nine years; In addition to Discovery, Anomaly has created content for TLC, ID, HGTV, Food Network, Netflix, HBO Max, ESPN+ and NFL Films.

The anomaly is currently producing K-Pop Heroes Shark Starring Ken Jeong (community(And see Ami)Demon hunters in kpop). Its non-sharks-related programming includes Rob Riggle: Global Investigator, Mystery at Blind Frog Farm, Caught!, Visitors, Wild code, Battle of the beards, McEnroe Places and Extraordinary stories behind everyday objects.

During their time as buyers and producers at Discovery, Kelly and Sorensen oversaw successful series such as… Gold fever, Amish mafia and Skywire Live With Nik Wallenda. Anomaly is currently in production for series for Discovery, TLC, HGTV and Food Network, and is in development for potential series elsewhere.
