Urvashi Rautela recently spoke about meeting Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio at Cannes 2025 and recalled how she felt extremely guilty after accidentally mispronouncing his surname in one of her previous interviews.During a conversation with Galatta India, Urvashi spoke about interacting with international celebrities and shared that meeting Leonardo DiCaprio became a memorable yet awkward moment for her.“You pronounced his surname very badly.”Speaking about the incident, Urvashi said that she felt bad after pronouncing the actor’s surname incorrectly in an interview.“That’s right, I am the first Indian artist to receive praise from Leonardo DiCaprio.

After that, I met him and he greeted me very nicely and complimented me.”“He doesn’t like meeting people”Urvashi also claimed that many people around Leonardo DiCaprio often said that the actor is not someone who meets people easily or takes pictures with everyone.
“A lot of people who know him say he doesn’t like meeting people, and he doesn’t take pictures with anyone,” she said.The actress admitted that after her meeting, she felt intense emotion and guilt over the mispronunciation.“That was a moment in my life when I felt very sad, upset and extremely guilty that here I am meeting this person after I said his surname incorrectly,” Urvashi said.She also added, “I really hope he never sees that interview I did where I pronounced his nickname so badly.”When the interviewer asked her if she had shared this with DiCaprio, Urvashi quickly replied, “Main chahti bhi nahi woh dekhe. Bilkul nahi chahti main. (I don’t even want him to see it. Absolutely not).”
