Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black are heading to our community this time Jumanji 3.

The three stars arrived at the CinemaCon stage in Las Vegas to show off the first footage from the highly anticipated film, which revealed its title as Jumanji: Open World. “We’re excited to be back for another Jumanji” Hart noted.

“I’ve never had more fun working on a movie,” Black said. “This is my favorite movie yet.” Hart joked that he didn’t quite agree and said of filming the film alongside recurring co-star Johnson: “It was work.”

“You don’t know these people,” Hart quipped as Johnson tried to thank some gallery managers in the audience. “It’s Hollywood bullshit.”

Johnson provided an emotional moment when he shared that half of the dice in the new film are the ones used in the 1995 Robin Williams film. Jumanji“Robin, as we like to say, this is for you.”

The trailer shows Johnson, Black, Hart, and Karen Gillan in the real world as fleshed-out versions of the video game avatars they play. “They’re stuck in beta mode,” character Alex Wolff explains.

“I’m starting to suspect that we don’t exist,” Black adds Jumanji.

Later, when Johnson was asked to slow down his car, he warned: “I’d like to see them try.”

This movie is based on 2017 Jumanji: Welcome to the Junglewhich rebooted the franchise after Robin Williams starred in the iconic 1995 adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 children’s book. Jake Kasdan, who directed the 2017 film and its 2019 sequel, returns to direct the third film from a script he co-wrote with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. It hits theaters on December 25.

The cast of the upcoming film includes Nick Jonas, Morgan Turner, Sir Darius Blaine, Madison Iseman, Lamorne Morris, and Danny DeVito.

Welcome to the jungle It focused on a group of teenage friends trapped inside a video game as a group of adult avatars. It was released in theaters in December 2017 and has grossed over $950 million at the global box office. Sequel 2019, subtitled Next levelIt topped $801 million worldwide.

CinemaCon is the annual event for Hollywood exhibitors and studios that takes place this year from April 13-16. It’s the official convention of Cinema United.
