Recently, the actress took to her social media account to call out a fellow passenger, an elderly man who was on the same flight as her. Speaking about the situation while also posting a series of photos on her account, Dorfman revealed that she found the passenger was sending transphobic messages about her to someone on his phone.She revealed what the man wrote in his text messages, which read: “I’m in the first aisle of first class. Guess what’s sitting next to me? A transsexual in the midst of transitioning from a man to a woman. Just my luck. I was hoping for a hot girl!!”Another text message from the man allegedly read: “Two and a half hours of sitting next to this freak!!” The artist posted pictures of the messages on her phone, taken from a distance, and expressed her disdain for the matter.
The star came out as a transgender woman in 2021, and since then she has been advocating for trans rights and has been very vocal about the issues the community faces on a daily basis.She also wrote in her post that “this man’s audacity to blatantly post texts about me (saving you the misogynistic and disgusting comments on our flight attendants against my whim) only affirms the choices I’ve made for myself to feel safe and comfortable in my body and spirit.”

I am lucky to have the life I have, the ability to fly freely (for now), and even post comments like these.”She also commented that even though she knows she doesn’t “look” feminine, she puts effort into her body and appearance for her own comfort, not for others. “It was always about fitting in and being independent for my own comfort, not the comfort of others or societal expectations,” she said.The posts received great reactions, with many people expressing their support for the actress.
