Paramount+’s emotional drama series has garnered record ratings for the prolific hitmaker, according to the streamer.

Taylor Sheridan hits another ratings milestone with the premiere of his latest series, Madison.

According to Paramount+, and using numbers from Luminate, the family melodrama debuted to 8 million viewers globally during its first 10 days, making it Madison The biggest original series to date to feature Sheridan has launched on the streamer.

The series, which premiered March 14, marked the prolific creator’s biggest new season launch among women 35 and older (the carrier indicated it was using Luminate numbers instead of Nielsen because the latter had a technical issue, which is a rare occurrence).

The show represents a tonal departure for Sheridan compared to his other Paramount+ dramas, which lean toward crime, drama, and action components. Response to the series was mixed Madison It received a 60 percent positive rating among critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 74 percent positive rating among viewers.

Sheridan’s days at Paramount are numbered, though he’s not going anywhere anytime soon — the writer-producer signed a deal last year to move to Universal starting in 2029.

Madisonwhich has already been renewed for a second season, is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions.
