The Hollywood Reporter and Bulgari celebrate this year’s distinguished fashion designers and Oscar nominees

The San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles were buzzing with legendary craftsmen on Wednesday Hollywood Reporter Bvlgari celebrated this year’s Oscar-nominated fashion designers: Ruth E. carter (Sinners), Malgosia Torzanska (Hamnet), Kate Hawley (Frankenstein), Deborah L. silence (Avatar: Fire and Ashes) and Miyako Bellizzi (Marty Supreme).

The luncheon began with welcome remarks from THR Editor-in-Chief Mayer Roshan, followed by Brett Valgren, Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications at the luxury jewelry company. “For Bvlgari, it is a great honor to support the Fashion Designers Guild and this year’s nominees,” said Wallgren, praising Carter, Scott, Torzanska and Hawley, who were in attendance. “You bring light to the world, and your creativity ensures that films are not only seen, but heard, remembered and felt.”

Wallgren went on to thank two “icons” in particular for attending the luncheon: set and costume designer Jacqueline West, who has been nominated for five Oscars for her work on Quills, The Strange Case of Benjamin Button, The return, Sand dunes and moonflower killers, and Colleen Atwood, a 12-time Academy Award nominee, who won four Oscars for her costume designs chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, Alice in Wonderland and Fantastic beasts and where to find them.

Subsequently, Wallgren presented Atwood, who received the Costume Designers Guild’s Career Achievement Award in 2006, with a new award in recognition of the honor, noting: “When we heard that the CDG Colleen Bulgari Award had been damaged and destroyed during the wildfires, we asked our artisans in Rome to create a new statuette and re-cast it.”

Other notable luncheon attendees included Academy of Motion Picture Museum President Amy Mumma and Board of Trustees Secretary Patricia S. Bellinger; Costume Designers Guild President Terry Gordon, Executive Director Brigitta Romanoff, Communications Director Anna Wyckoff, and Production Executive Christine Ingram. THR Photographer Mark Griffin Champion captured guests as they arrived, as attendees mingled and mingled over signature cocktails before being seated for the formal dining experience.

The luncheon is an extension of Bvlgari’s global partnership with the Guild of Fashion Designers and the brand’s commitment to celebrating the craft of fashion design and its contribution to cinematic storytelling. Earlier this year, Bvlgari introduced a new version of the Costume Designers Guild Awards statue during the 28th annual gala in February and held a series of exclusive awards season dinners that brought together Oscar and Emmy nominees to network across film, television, fashion, art and creativity.

The Oscar race for Best Costume Design will be decided during the 2026 Academy Awards on Sunday. Bellizzi, Torzanska, and Hawley were each nominated for the first time, while Scott was nominated twice, receiving her first nomination and win in 1998 for her film. Titanic.
