Production on the fourth season of White lotus It started in France, and HBO has released exciting details about the show.
As was the case in the previous three seasons, the series created by Mike White will follow guests and staff at a luxury hotel chain as people get murdered over the course of a week. HBO says it will be shown this week during the Cannes Film Festival. It remains to be seen whether the show will use this year’s actual festival, which runs from May 12-23, as a backdrop; HBO declined to comment on whether the series would be filmed at the festival.
Also of note: The season will include two White Lotus hotels, marking the first time White and Co. have focused on more than one property. The Airelles Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez will serve as the White Lotus du Cap, and the historic Hotel Martinez on the Croisette will serve as the White Lotus Cannes.
The season will be filmed primarily in Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Monaco. Filming is also scheduled to take place in Paris, although HBO says the story will focus on the Côte d’Azur.
The usually large cast for this edition of White lotus Includes Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonty Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Vela, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, and Nadja Tereshkiewicz.
