Stephen Graham’s new Apple TV series has a new title – Soft music – and debut date.
Previously titled Lazarusthe 10-episode drama written by Rowan Joffe and John Hlavin and co-starring Liev Schreiber and Zazie Beetz. The four of them are among Soft musicExecutive Producers; Hlavin is the showrunner.
Graham Adolescence It took home the Emmy Awards last year with a total of eight wins, including Outstanding Limited Series. He wrote and starred in it. graham (to kidnap, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal ManAl Capone in Boardwalk Empire) is just a representative of Soft music.
Lazarus It is the name of Lars Keppler’s 2018 novel from which the series is adapted. “Lars Kepler” is the pseudonym of husband and wife duo Alexandra Coelho Ahanduril and Alexandre Ahanduril; They produce the series under the pseudonym.
Soft music It will premiere globally on October 30, 2026, which in the US we refer to as “Mis Chief Night.” Apple will release two episodes then and the next eight every Friday until Christmas. Tim Van Patten (Air masters, Black mirror) directs both of the first two episodes.
The limited series tells the story of Jonah Lane (Schreiber), a former soldier and current homicide detective, who “tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia and moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania to live a quiet life,” as the film’s synopsis states. “But, as the town and his family come under attack from the cunning, diabolical serial killer Yorick Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect everything he holds dear.”
It continues: “When a desperate search for Yorick’s latest missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter, FBI agent Saga Power (Betz), against Yorick, how far will Jonah go?”
