The last week of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert It will feature the host’s conversation with an old friend and musical performances by two major rock stars (and Colbert himself).

CBS has released the lineup for the final week of Colbert’s shows, leading up to the May 21 end of Colbert’s tenure and Late Show itself — thanks to the network’s decision last year to cancel the show it says is a money-loser. Jon Stewart, Steven Spielberg, David Byrne and Bruce Springsteen are all scheduled to appear on the show next week.

Late Show He did not reveal the full lineup for this week, choosing to save some surprises for the audience. On Wednesday, May 20, for example, the listings say Colbert will subject himself to a “Colbert Questionert,” with special guests asking questions — but it doesn’t list those guests. There are no guests listed in the final show. Here is the lineup for this week:

• Monday, May 18: The worst of it The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (Not a clip view!)

• Tuesday, May 19: Jon Stewart, Steven Spielberg, special performance by David Byrne and Stephen Colbert

• Wednesday, May 20: Stephen takes on the “Colbert Questionert” featuring special guests, and a performance by Bruce Springsteen

• Thursday, May 21: Late Show Series finale

Colbert said in an exit interview Hollywood Reporter And that he “didn’t expect it to end this way” — but also that if he had left office on his own terms, he would have followed a similar playbook.

“I was going to be a little older.
