Stellan Skarsgård has penned his first project since garnering acclaim and an Oscar nomination Emotional value Last awards season.

The actor is set to star alongside Dakota Fanning in the untitled Apple TV original thriller series that hails from Alex Cary, who previously created the miniseries A spy among friends He earned his credibility in the thriller field as a writer and producer in Homeland.

Per Apple, Fanning stars as a secret treasury operative for a multi-billion-dollar international conglomerate, with world-changing political and criminal tentacles, who is conflicted between her mission and the belief that her main target, the heir apparent to all that corrupt power, is, at heart, a good man and worthy of her love.

Skarsgård joins the team as head of the international conglomerate.

Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Handmaid’s Tale) will direct and serve as executive producer.

Carrey, who serves as creator and showrunner under his overall deal with Sony Pictures Television and its FLW Productions banner, is also an executive producer. Other executive producers include Elle Fanning, Julie Gardner (Lady in the Lake, Doctor Who) for Bad Wolf America, and Brittany Kahan Ward, Lewellen Pictures (Margo has financial problems).

Sony Pictures Television is behind the series.

The cast keeps Skarsgård in the Fanning family, in a mysterious way. in Emotional valuethe Swedish actor plays an elderly director who, while trying to reunite with his estranged daughters, hires an American movie star to produce a film for Netflix. She plays the role of American film star Elle Fanning, who is Dakota Fanning’s sister.

Skarsgård, who also starred last year in the popular Star Wars series Andoris repped by CAA and Curtis Brown Group.
