Marvel fans heading to theaters for Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” will reportedly get an expanded look at “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”Within hours of the film’s release, fans of Tom Holland and Zendaya took to social media to share the extended clip online.

According to the video, the trailer gives fans a synopsis of Peter Parker’s emotional journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe before teasing the next chapter.

Spider-Man movie synopsis drops with The Odyssey

The extended trailer revisits key moments from Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, starting with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and ending with the heartbreaking ending of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” The synopsis recounts Peter’s decision to sacrifice his personal happiness by asking Doctor Strange to make the world and his best friends MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) forget that he is Spider-Man.

About “Spider-Man: A Brand New Day”

The new film officially takes place four years after those events, with Peter living alone and working as a full-time Spider-Man in a New York City that no longer knows who he is. While he devotes himself entirely to protecting New York, the increasing pressure of his double life leads to a mysterious physical transformation while a powerful new threat emerges.

The drop also comes as reports indicate that the upcoming film, scheduled for release on July 30, will feature a post-credits scene tied to “Avengers: Doomsday.”

Speculation intensified after Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently hinted that Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova could appear in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” before returning as a member of the New Avengers in “Avengers: Doomsday.” Although no appearance has been officially confirmed, Feige has suggested that fans may see the character “a little sooner,” fueling theories that a Spider-Man sequel could serve as a bridge to the upcoming Avengers film.Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and stars Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, and Trammell Tillman.
