Filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya have announced that they are expecting their second child. The couple shared the update through a joint post on Instagram on Tuesday.
In the post, Atlee and Priya said their family is set to grow soon and asked for blessings and prayers. The announcement was accompanied by a set of photos that quickly caught attention online.
One of the pictures shows their son Meer copying Priya as she proudly shows her baby bump. Other images feature Atlee holding Priya from behind, while the final slide shows a family sketch that includes Meer and their pet dogs — Becky, Yuki, Chocki, Coffee and Goofy.
The post received warm responses from several film personalities. Filmmaker Karan Johar, actors Keerthy Suresh, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Janhvi Kapoor and Kalyani Priyadarshan were among those who sent congratulatory messages in the comments.

Atlee and Priya got married in 2014. After nine years of marriage, they welcomed their first child, son Meer, in 2023.
Atlee, whose real name is Arun Kumar, is known for directing successful films such as Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal, Bigil and the Hindi blockbuster Jawan.
On the work front, the director is currently busy with his next project, tentatively titled AA22 x A6, which stars Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. The film is being described as a large-scale action drama and is expected to begin major production schedules soon.
For now, the focus remains on the personal milestone, as Atlee and Priya prepare to welcome a new member into their family.
