Singer Shaan paid tribute to his late mother Sonali Mukherjee on her birthday by sharing a touching interview clip. In the video, she recalled her childhood shyness towards singing and her firm belief in its success in the future. Shan expressed his great pride and credited his achievements to his mother’s dedicated upbringing. She died in 2022.
Singer Shan recently took to his social media account to pay tribute to his late mother on her birthday. The star posted an old clip from an interview his mother gave on television, where she talked about him and his strange behavior when he was a child.
Shaan praises his mother Sonali Mukherjee On her birthday
The ‘Tanha Dil’ singer took to his social media account, where he posted a video of an interview his mother, Sonali Mukherjee, gave to popular host Farooq Sheikh on the show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’. In the video, Mukherjee is seen attending the interview with her son as well as other guests, where she talks about what Shaan was like as a child. In the video, she told the host that she often makes him sing for the guests whenever someone comes to visit them.
She shared that while Shaan’s sister, Sagarika, would often sing in front of everyone, Shaan was often afraid of the whole ordeal. She also shared that often as a child, he would come to her running to the kitchen. He was holding her and crying why she made him do all this. In addition, the singer’s mother said that she used to tell him, “Nai nai babu tum bade hoke zarur gaoge” (No, no, son, you will definitely sing when you grow up), whenever this happened.
In the old clip, she also mentioned how she was present at every party and any other event that Shaan and Sagarika were a part of, and that she was very proud of them as well.Shan posted the video with a heartfelt caption that read, “On my dear Maa’s birthday today, I’m sharing a small clip where I talked about our early days with Farooq Sheikh Saab.. She raised us all on her own @sagarika.dc and I with such dignity and grace… selflessness and gratitude (smiley face and prayer emoji).. Proud of my mother!! No matter who you are.. I am because of how she was (smiley face emoji).”Shan’s mother died in 2022.
