Actor Silambarasan, popularly known as Simbu, shared an update about his upcoming film ‘Arasan’. The actor announced that the team had completed one of the largest filming schedules for the film after continuous work for more than two months.

Simbu took to his Instagram account to share a short video on social media. The video shows him shaking hands with director Vetri Maran after the schedule ended. The film’s cinematographer also thanked the entire team for their support and hard work.“This is the conclusion of a big and amazing schedule for #Arasan. Time to recharge, recover, see some daylight, and get ready for what comes next,” Simbu wrote.
The actor had resumed shooting for ‘Arasan’ on April 25. Since then, most of the filming has been done at night.
A few days ago, Simbu shared that constant night shooting has affected his daily routine.He wrote: “Over 2 months of constant night photography. My circadian rhythm is officially messed up.”He also shared a photo with director Vetri Maran and action choreographer Peter Hein and wrote, “Arasan in action.” The team was filming important action scenes during this schedule.

Talking about the cast, it includes Vijay Sethupathi, Samutharakani, Andrea Jeremiah, Kishore, Priyanka Arul Mohan and Yogi Babu in important roles. The first shooting schedule was completed in Kovilpatti last year before the shooting continued in Chennai. Music is composed by Anirudh.

The trailer of the film presented an exciting story set in the world of ‘Vada Chennai’. In the video, Simbu tells director Nelson that the story is based on real people and real places. He also says: “If you make a disclaimer, even if the events shown in the film are true, no one will be able to question you.”The promo later shows Simbu standing in court after being accused of three murders. He says he is not guilty, but the following scenes raise many questions about the truth.
