Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building brings together a host of British and Irish stars as the Hulu mystery comedy moves its central investigation to London. Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez will return as Charles Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora.
Amateur detectives will leave New York after a deadly case opens a case linked to England. Production is currently underway in the UK, but Hulu has not announced a release date.
Expansion of the cast for Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building
TV Cave reports that the number of recurring guests has now increased to 20 actors. Deadline has also confirmed that David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker, Nicola Coughlan, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis and Katherine Hunter have joined the new season.The latest additions unite two former Doctor Who stars, Tennant and Whittaker. Coughlan and Simon Ashley also reunite two “Bridgerton” stars.Other confirmed guests include Jennifer Saunders, Martin Freeman, Jamie Demetriou, Sharon Horgan, Derek Jacobi, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Lesley Nicholl, Shaun Teale, Amar Chadda Patel and Rhea Norwood. Their personalities and connections to the murder remain secret.
Michael Cyril Cretton will return as Howard Morris. Da’Vine Joy Randolph is also expected to reprise her role as Detective Donna Williams and track the trio across the Atlantic.
The London Mystery follows the adventure of Cinda Canning
Season 5 ended with podcast competitor Cynda Canning, played by Tina Fey, becoming the apparent victim of the show’s next murder. Her latest story carried clues linked to England, giving Charles, Oliver and Mabel a reason to conduct their investigations abroad.Season 6 will contain 10 episodes and move much of the action away from the Arconia apartment building in Manhattan that was the focus of the first five seasons. London will serve as the main production base for the upcoming case.Fey is set to appear again despite Cinda’s fate, though the series has not revealed whether the character will appear through flashbacks or another narrative device.Hulu has renewed Only Murders in the Building for a sixth season after the fifth season concluded in October 2025. Filming began in London in May 2026. All five full seasons are available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in several international markets.
