Farah Khan recently recalled an unusual memory from the shoot of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, where she revealed that Akshay Kumar used to travel to the sets by helicopter every day and remained the most meticulous person on set.The anecdote came up during a promotional chat for the film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ starring Farah Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan and Rajpal Yadav. While the group reminisced about the film’s previous shoots, Farah talked about their schedule while shooting for ‘Tees Maar Khan’ at Malshej Ghat.Sharing details of the shoot, Farah said, “We were shooting for Tees Maar Khan in Malshej. The call time was 8 am every day. Everyone stayed there as it was about two-and-a-half hours’ drive from Mumbai.”
But Akshay would return home every evening after packing his belongings and return by 7:45 am the next morning. The revelation left Rajpal Yadav stunned. When they looked at him, Farah and Akshay asked, “Polo Kiss?” (Tell us how?) With Rajpal unable to guess, Akshay revealed: “I traveled by helicopter.”Farah admitted that she had never seen anything like this before. “For the first time in my life, I saw an actor handle a helicopter like a taxi. But to his credit, he was always on time.”
Meanwhile, Akshay was quick to clarify that his travel arrangements did not cause any inconvenience to anyone else.Akshay Kumar defended his helicopter ride by pointing out that it never created any problems for the production. “But what was anyone’s problem? I was the producer myself,” he said.Farah Khan, however, was quick to make a brilliant comeback. “Me too.” The banter soon became more hilarious as she quipped, “Mere saare paise kha gaya (I spent all my money on him).”A visibly surprised Akshay replied, “Main paise kha gaya? I’ve earned the most money in this film!” Farah refused to let the joke end there, so she laughed and added: “Call Ronnie and ask him about our money.”Tees Maar Khan was Farah Khan’s third film as a director after the success of Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. The film, which was headlined by Akshay Kumar, hit theaters in 2010 and went on to collect approximately Rs 84 crore at the Indian box office.
