Salman Khan moves to Delhi High Court for immediate stay of Kala Hiran film as makers drop teaser of the film: Report

Salman Khan has approached the Delhi High Court seeking an urgent stay on the production, promotion and release of his upcoming film ‘Kala Hiran: Battle for Legacy’, alleging that the project violates his personal rights.In his petition, the actor claimed that the makers used someone who looks like him and even designed the character with his distinctive bracelet. Salman also claimed that the film’s promotional campaign was using his name to attract attention, according to a report by Aaj Tak. According to the affidavit, showing the film would not only harm his public image, but may also affect the ongoing legal proceedings related to the 1998 Blackback case. As a result, Khan asked the court to prohibit the makers of the film from producing, promoting, releasing, broadcasting or circulating the film and any promotional materials associated with it.

The matter is expected to come up for hearing soon.Before the Supreme Court move, Salman reportedly issued a legal notice to the makers of the film, demanding that all work related to the project and its promotion be stopped immediately. The notice asserted that the film was inspired by the actor’s blackbuck hunting case, and argued that such a depiction could tarnish his reputation, interfere with pending judicial proceedings and violate his personal rights.

The notice also indicated that Black Buck’s case is still pending before the court
