Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that another Deadpool movie is officially in the works.The actor, who is rumored to star in the upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday” movie, gave Marvel fans a reason to celebrate when he shared that work on the next “Deadpool” movie is underway.
Speaking during Fanatics Fest 2026, Reynolds revealed that plans to bring Wade Wilson back to the big screen are in development, though he stopped short of revealing whether he will be in “Deadpool 4” or whether he will appear in a potential new X-Men squad within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“There are some deep cuts that I think are missing from the movies. I think there are some deep cuts from some of the comics… There are things coming.
“There will eventually be another Deadpool,” Reynolds said.
While the actor kept plot details under wraps, his comments represent the clearest indication yet that Marvel Studios is moving forward with another outing for the fan-favorite hero.

Reynolds’ announcement comes after months of speculation surrounding the future of the series after the actor indicated his desire to step back from the franchise. He later explained that his next creative idea for Wade Wilson would more likely place the character in a supporting or ensemble role rather than making him the sole focus of the story.
Reynolds later went on to suggest that the next film could take a different direction from the previous trilogy. It is still unclear whether the upcoming project will be officially titled “Deadpool 4” or will develop into a larger Marvel game.

Previous industry reports have indicated that the film could feature three or four characters from the X-Men franchise, which could expand Deadpool’s role within the MCU.

Meanwhile, Wade Wilson is set to return in Marvel Studios’ upcoming crossover film, “Avengers: Doomsday.”
He will join a host of other heroes, including Captain America, Thor, The Fantastic Four, The New Avengers, Shang-Chi, and more.While conflicting reports have been circulating regarding the film’s cast, Deadpool, although not officially part of the lineup, is expected to play a minor role. But it should be noted that these reports have not yet been confirmed.Doomsday, which sees Robert Downey Jr. return to the MCU, alongside Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, is scheduled to premiere on December 18.
