A lot has been said about Ranveer Singh’s next big project after the back-to-back success of spy thrillers ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. Amidst the buzz that the actor will be reuniting with Aditya Dhar again for another project, there is now an update about the actor’s next film project.After defeating the villains, Ranveer will soon go to war against the zombies in ‘Pralay’. Amid rumors that the film has been derailed, the makers have now issued a statement clarifying that the film is progressing as planned, with production set to begin in August 2026.As reported by Variety India, the production has made it clear that there are no barriers affecting the film. An insider was quoted as saying, “Reports indicating any uncertainty regarding ‘Pralay’ are completely baseless.
Ranveer and Jay were in constant discussions and locked the script tightly. The project has already moved into the pre-production stage, where the entire team is actively preparing to create an unprecedented mega spectacle of Indian cinema.
Currently, ‘Pralay’ is on track to hit the floors by August 2026.”For the film, Raveer will reportedly take on a completely new avatar. Described as a large-scale, visual effects-packed action thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world, the film is expected to bring a fresh take on the zombie genre to Indian cinema.
Director Jay Mehta has reportedly been developing the project for over a year. The film’s budget will reportedly be around Rs 300 crore.It should be noted that Raver has not signed on to the film yet. He is also said to be in discussion with director Aditya Dhar about a historical epic, which could begin after the completion of ‘Pralay’.Singh is reportedly in talks with Dhar for a film set during the reign of Chandragupta Maurya, the founder and first emperor of the Maurya Empire.
