Lily James has signed on to play the lead role Seasonsa suspenseful horror film directed by Drew Hancock companionis directing for Amazon MGM Studios.
Some big horror names are involved in the feature on the production side. Marking their third collaboration, 21 Laps and Blumhouse’s Atomic Monster, which recently produced A24’s Back roomsis producing the film as is 12:01 Films, a horror banner that was one of the first to colonize the Reddit space as inspired film.
Hancock’s script is adapted from the short story by Matt and Harrison Querrey, which first appeared on Reddit. The film follows a husband and wife who purchase the farm of their dreams only to discover that the land is filled with ancient spirits, and staying alive means undergoing increasingly disturbing rituals with every turn of the season.
James will play the wife.
21 rolls produced: Shawn Levy and Dan Levine. Blumhouse Atomic Monster’s Jason Blum and Michael Clare; And 12:01 Scott Glass’s film Gold. Dan Cohen, formerly of 21 Laps, will also produce.
