'Raja Shivaji' Box Office Collection Day 14: Riteish Deshmukh's film crosses Rs 90 crore. It becomes the second highest grossing Marathi film

Historical drama ‘Raja Shivaji’ continues its successful run at the box office.‘Raja Shivaji’ Box Office Collection Today 14The film completed its second week at the box office and did so to officially become the second highest grossing Marathi film of all time.

According to a report on sacnilk, the film added an estimated Rs 1.90 crore nett to its collections on Thursday, thus ending its second week on a steady note.

The film was initially expected to collect over Rs 2.25 crore on Thursday but it fell slightly short of early expectations. However, the film clocked an estimated Rs 24 crore collection in the second week.Total box office collections of ‘Raja Shivaji’.This represents a decline of almost 50% from the first week collections, during which the film earned an estimated Rs 52.65 crore at the box office.

The film now has an estimated gross collection of Rs 90.10 crore, while its net collections in India are estimated at Rs 76.95 crore so far.‘Raja Shivaji’ became the second highest grossing Marathi film‘Raja Shivaji’ has now surpassed the lifetime collection of female-led blockbuster ‘Baipan Bhari Deva’. The film retained the second position for a long time after earning an estimated Rs 90.50 crore worldwide during its lifetime theatrical run.

‘Raja Shivaji’ is eyeing Rs 100 croreWith a new record under its belt, ‘Raja Shivaji’ is now on pace towards the coveted Rs 100 crore mark. This record also places the film behind only ‘Sairat’, which remains the industry’s highest grosser of all time with a total gross collection of around Rs 110 crore worldwide. If the landmark film reaches the Rs 100-crore mark, it will become only the second Marathi film in history to achieve the feat after ‘Sairat’.Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Raja Shivaji is based on the life of the founder of the Maratha Empire.
