A video of Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee from the sets of his show Bholebaba Paar Karega is doing the rounds on social media after news of his sudden death at the age of 43. Rahul reportedly drowned on Talsari beach in Odisha while filming. The clip that has now gone viral shows Rahul preparing for a shoot with a co-actress near a car, surrounded by a crowd of onlookers.

While some reports indicate that he moved away from the set to visit the beach, others claim that he fell into the sea from a boat.
It is reported that the actor did not know how to swim.Crew members pulled him out of the water and took him to a hospital in Digha at around 6pm, where he was pronounced dead before he could receive medical care. An autopsy is scheduled for March 30.

At one point, the co-star gestures for silence, placing her finger to her lips as the crew prepares to set off.The video attracted attention online as one of the last visual images of the actor before the accident.East Midnapore district police confirmed Rahul’s death, and Additional Superintendent of Police Atish Biswas said the cause was drowning. A detailed medical report is expected to be issued after death.
Rahul is survived by his wife, Priyanka Sarkar, and their son, Shohwag. The two met during the filming of Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, broke up in 2017, and reconciled in 2023 while continuing to co-parent their child.
Condolences from industry and leaders
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed grief over the actor’s death and termed it a big loss to the Bengali entertainment industry. She wrote in Bengali: “I am shocked, deeply saddened and distressed to learn that the young and popular eminent actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee is no longer with us.
I can’t understand how this happened. He was an actor and a person I loved very much. I extend my deepest condolences to his bereaved family, loved ones and countless fans.
His sudden demise represents an irreparable loss to the world of Bengali acting, as well as to Tollywood and the television industry.
The actor also paid tribute to Jett, writing: “He’s gone too far… It’s a stark reminder of how uncertain life really is,” while offering his condolences to the family.
