beauty End added last A wild turn into the mix with Nicola Peltz Beckham.
In the FX horror series, which wrapped its first season on Wednesday night, Beckham plays Frannie Forrest, the wife of Ashton Kutcher’s Byron Forrest (aka The Corporation), who has built a trillion-dollar empire through his super drug known as “Beauty.” Obtained either through injection or sexually, this drug promises to make users the most physically ideal version of themselves.
Franny was strongly against the drug and what it stood for. She’s played by Isabella Rossellini all season long — that is, until Byron and Frannie’s children forcibly inject her with “beauty” in the finale. Byron is then shocked to see his wife transformed, with Beltz Peckham taking on the role – and wearing a T-shirt referencing Rossellini’s role in the film. Death becomes hers.
While Byron is thrilled that his wife took “Beautiful,” as he and his sons did, Frannie expresses how upset she is. She tells her husband: “I feel like a prisoner trapped inside a body that is not my own.” “Everything I worked for, everything I earned — my scars, my stretch marks, the life I had — was taken from me.” Then I tried to commit suicide.
Later in the episode, Byron provides an update: Frannie is on life support, but he has enlisted the help of the best doctors in the world to help save her, and she is “stable at the moment.” This appears to be a turning point for Byron, as he directs his resources towards stopping the spread of the super drug.
Hollywood Reporter We spoke with Peltz Beckham below about how she made her surprise appearance, whether Frannie can forgive her family for moving forward with a potential second season — and how she managed to shift the attention and headlines around her real-life husband, Brooklyn Beckham, and his family.

This is your first collaboration with Ryan Murphy. How did you do? beauty comes on your radar, and what attracted you to the role of Franny?
Ryan told me he had me in mind for this new show, and when he explained it to me, I was so excited to be able to collaborate with him and be a part of his world. I’m a huge fan of his work and everything he does. Then when he explained the show to me, and it was Isabel Rossellini, I said “Oh my God” and even more excited. I was so honored to be a part of Franny. I was like, “I have to make this incredible.” How can I be as good as her? She’s an icon, and I’m obsessed with her.
Although Franny only appears in the finale, she becomes a pivotal turning point for Byron, played by Ashtion Kutcher. Does her near-death experience amount to a real moral reckoning for him, or do you think his motives are still questionable?
I want to see the good, and I think the thought of losing her really affected him. This was my favorite part when I saw that land on him. Ashton is a great actor. When I was able to watch the episode, it really caught my attention.
What was it like working with Ashton on this experience, because as you mentioned, there’s a lot of emotional heft in your scene?
He is very talented. I’m a fan of him and his work, and when I read the scene and knew I was doing it with him, I was so excited. The scene was written so beautifully. I loved the way they put it all together, and that she says, “You have to earn your age,” and it’s a beautiful perspective to not chase youth and be so lucky to be able to earn your age. I really like it.
Frannie was strongly against the drug “Beautiful” and what it represented, and her sons injected her without her consent. How do you imagine this will affect her relationships with her children and with Byron?
I hope there’s a future for me to be able to read, because I’m so excited about the idea of Ryan continuing to create this world, and where he’ll take these characters. It’s very complicated. It makes so much sense that we have this offer now too. Isabella Rossellini’s character is so beautiful when she talks about her perspective on life; It’s a really beautiful character to be a part of. It will be a pleasure to continue playing with it.
There has been a lot of public interest in your real life and relationship with your husband Brooklyn Beckham’s family. How did you manage to navigate this interest?
I edited my next film[[Prima]During the past two and a half weeks. Honestly, I’ve been in the newsroom. We didn’t have weekends. We were just trying to set a deadline [for Cannes]. It’s been so amazing to focus on that and be creative. It’s been really fun to do, and I’m so excited for it to come out.
She made her directorial debut in 2024 with Lola. Do you see yourself leaning more towards directing moving forward – or continuing to balance directing and acting?
Acting is definitely my first passion. I’ve loved it since I was 11, but I really love being a part of the storytelling in every way, and I love being a part of the process of creating it before the actor comes along. I hope I’m lucky enough to be a part of this process more.
