Netflix has revealed an agreement with the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Football (Concacaf) to broadcast Nations League finals and Concacaf Gold Cup tournaments in Mexico, starting in 2027.

The four-year deal will make Netflix the exclusive home in the Latin American market for the 2027 and 2029 editions of both competitions, in which the Mexican national team and players will participate. Viewership for the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final is lower than for the World Cup, which starts this summer, but has increased in North America.

“At Netflix, we are increasingly investing in live events that connect to our audience’s greatest interests, and soccer is without a doubt the passion that unites us as Mexicans,” said Carolina Leconte, Vice President of Content for Mexico and Latin America Acquisitions at Netflix. “Concacaf National Team matches bring together millions of fans in Mexico like few other events do. We are thrilled that over the coming years, fans in Mexico will be able to experience the Concacaf Nations League Finals and Concacaf Gold Cup exclusively on Netflix, at no additional charge.”

The addition of live soccer matches to Netflix’s Mexican market offering takes the streamer beyond the soccer-themed documentaries and dramas that previously appeared on its schedule, and puts it in competition for live sports against TelevisaUnivision.

The fifth edition of the CONCACAF Nations League Finals will be held in March 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, while the 19th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, featuring 16 teams, will be held in the summer of 2027. The CONCACAF agreement is exclusive to Mexico and the CONCACAF men’s national team competitions.

“We are very excited to partner with Netflix in Mexico as we continue to enhance how fans connect with our leading national team competitions,” Concacaf Secretary General Philippe Mogio added in his own statement. CONCACAF is one of FIFA’s six confederations, covering soccer teams from Canada in the north to Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana in the south.
