Natalie Portman announced that she is pregnant with her third child.
Share news exclusively with Harper’s BazaarThe actress said she feels “extremely grateful” and that it is a “privilege and a miracle”. She is expecting a child with her partner, French music producer Tanguy Destable.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told the publication.
The 44-year-old said: “I grew up hearing about how difficult pregnancy is. I have a lot of people I love who have had difficult times with it, and I want to be respectful about that as well. It’s a beautiful, joyful thing, and it’s also not easy. And so I know how lucky I am. I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. And I have a deep appreciation and gratitude.”
Portman has two children from her previous marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
In her third pregnancy, Portman said she physically has “more energy” than she initially thought, and is devoting time to swimming and doing gyrotonone exercises to “stay strong.”
“In France, they consider full term to be 41 weeks instead of 40, so I think I’ll have an extra week to be pregnant this time,” Portman joked during her stay in Paris.
According to the post, Portman is spending time focusing on her pregnancy after completing two upcoming projects with her production company MountainA.
