Ahan Shetty earned praise for his performance in Borderlands 2. The young actor impressed the audience, especially in emotionally intense moments. In a recent interview, he talked about the weight of legacy.

He spoke candidly about joining a franchise forever associated with his father, Suniel Shettyand the pressure associated with it.

Ahan Shetty on missing a moment with his father

Ahan Shetty revealed that one of the most important scenes in the film stayed with him for personal reasons. He shared that he couldn’t film the final series with his father despite both being part of the same franchise. This absence added emotional pressure. Ahaan told IANS, “Unfortunately, we couldn’t shoot the last scene that was there together.”

Shetty explained that being a part of Frontier 2 naturally drew comparisons to the original Frontier.“But yeah, if I think about him being a part of Frontier and then me being a part of Frontier 2, I knew there were always going to be comparisons,” he said.Reenacting a moment his father had once performed felt a real sense of pressure. “And then I had this very special scene that I had to do that he did in the first movie.

It made me very, very nervous, I’m not going to lie. I knew these comparisons would be made. I knew there would be pressure,” he admitted.

Ahan Shetty admitted that the responsibility feels heavy. He understood what his father’s iconic performance in “Border” meant to fans. However, he chose a reasoned approach.He further recalled, “And I also felt a responsibility to carry on his legacy.

But I try to do my best to keep this noise out of my head, to keep this pressure from building up inside me. Because if I do, I know I’m going to act a certain way. I will start doing things completely differently thinking about him or his fans. So I just try to be true to myself, honest to myself and my audience.

And I think with the love and appreciation I’ve gotten in the last few days since the movie came out, I think I’ve done a good job.”Shetty added, “People seem to be picking up on me and, you know, accepting me, you know, carrying on my father’s legacy.”
