Mr. and Mrs. Smith It is expanding its customer circle for the second season.
Levon Hawk (Blink Twice, Marty Supreme) Join the cast of the Prime Video series, Hollywood Reporter I’ve learned. Sources say he’ll be playing Mr. Smith — or rather, one of Mr. Smith’s, as the show will feature several characters using an alias in the upcoming season. The show is in production in Los Angeles.
Hawke joins a cast that also includes Mark Edelstein, Talia Ryder, Francesca Scorsese and Matt Rogers. Details about how the Smiths and other characters came together are being kept under wraps.
Anna Ouyang Munch is the showrunner for season two Mr. and Mrs. Smith. She joined the show in January, taking over from co-creator and season one showrunner Francesca Sloan. Moench’s appointment comes after Amazon’s joint studio MGM and New Regency pulled the plug on the show last fall, coinciding with Sloane signing an overall deal at HBO.
Moench is executive producing the second season with season one stars Donald Glover (who also co-created the series), Maya Erskine, Yariv Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Stephen Glover, Anthony Katagas, and Pham Odiorgi. Donald Glover is also directing some episodes in season two.
Hawke’s acting is credited in the 2023 Apple TV series Crowded room And a feature film The thicket. It will be seen next in Focus Features Girls like girlswhich is scheduled to be released on June 19, recently wrapped filming on A24’s reached its climax. Hawke also collaborated with his sister Maya Hawke on some songs she recorded.
