Phil was a devoted husband, wonderful father, proud and loving grandfather, and was affectionately known as “Bambi.” He was greatly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

His legacy, his music and the memories he created with so many will live on forever. We ask that you respect our family’s privacy during this extremely difficult time.

Motörhead remembers the long-time guitarist

Motörhead’s official page also shared an emotional tribute to the guitarist.

The band wrote in the tribute: “We can’t believe we’re saying this… It is with profound sadness that we have to say that Philip Anthony Campbell has passed away. He was Motörhead’s guitarist for 31 years (longest serving member apart from Lemmy) having joined in 1984.”“After Lemmy’s death, he was blessed to form Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons with his children Todd, Dane and Tyla, who recorded and toured together for years,” the tribute continued.The band also added: “Phil was an amazing guitarist, writer, performer and musician with Motörhead in his veins.
