Michael Bay enlists in the movie Operation Epic Fury, Hollywood Reporter And he confirmed.

The Universal Pictures film is based on the true story of the rescue of two American pilots shot down in Iran in April after their F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down during the US attack on the country. It is based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s upcoming book about the rescue mission, which arrives via HarperCollins in 2027.

Bay will direct and produce with Irwin Stoff and Scott Gardenhour.

The director is known for working with the US Army on previous projects, and consulting with them on films such as The rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, transformers and 13 hours: Benghazi’s secret soldiers. The latest film is based on a book by Zukoff, a journalist and professor of communications at Boston University.

Bay’s films have grossed more than $10 billion at the global box office. He recently appeared in theaters with the 2022 crime thriller ambulance Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. He is known as two Bad boys movies and Pain and gain. Although he has not directed a film since 2022, he is also active as a producer via Platinum Dunes, where he is producing the film.
