Makers of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' threaten legal action after scenes from the film leak: 'Strict civil and criminal action'

Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ is facing major setbacks with HD scenes and major portions leaking online. The production company, KVN Productions LLP, issued a stern warning, vowing to pursue strict civil and criminal action against all individuals involved in the piracy. They stress that every digital action can be traced and that investigations are underway to identify and prosecute the perpetrators.

Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ is facing multiple hurdles, as earlier the film could have got a release date and now some scenes and even major portions of the film have been leaked online in HD quality.

After these leaks, the film’s production company issued a strong statement saying that criminal measures would be taken against every criminal.

They said, “Strict civil and criminal measures will be taken against every violator without exception.” They made it clear that they would not leave anyone behind. They also said: “Every digital action is traceable.” The team has already begun investigating how the leak occurred and who is behind it.

“We hereby note that downloading, viewing, storing, forwarding, sharing, uploading or circulating such leaked content via WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, websites, torrent or any other means constitutes a criminal offense and a violation of copyright laws.

Every digital action is traceable, and we have already initiated the necessary investigations including forensic investigations and complaints against the people involved and are identifying all others in the trading chain.

The memorandum added that strict civil and criminal measures will be taken against every violator without exception.

The content makers also asked the public not to engage with the leaked content in any way and if they find any perpetrators, they can “face immediate legal action.”

They concluded their note by writing, “If you receive such content, do not open, store or forward it. Delete it immediately.”

The film is directed by H Vinoth and features actors like Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol and Priyamani. It is yet to receive CBFC approval and is already late. The film is an important project for superstar Vijay as it marks his last cinematic outing before he fully focuses on politics.
