Lufthansa has found the missing Oscar statuette of Pavel Talankin, co-director and subject of the Oscar-winning film. Mr. Nobody is against Putinwas forced to check the cup by TSA agents for the flight back to Europe.

“The Oscar statue has now been located and is safe in our care in Frankfurt,” Lufthansa said in a statement obtained by Lufthansa. Hollywood Reporter Friday. The airline added that it is in contact with Talankin to reunite him with the missing Oscar “as soon as possible.”

Talankin, who was returning to Europe from JFK Airport in New York earlier this week, claimed that airport security refused to allow him to take his statue on the plane as hand luggage. The prize was packed in a small box and placed at the bottom of the plane. When Talankin arrived in Frankfurt, he was told that the little golden statue had disappeared.

Lufthansa also apologized to Talankin for missing out on the Oscar. The airline said in its statement: “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and apologize to the owner. Careful and safe handling of our guests’ belongings is of the utmost importance to us.”

Talankin returned the Oscar to Europe after the Academy Awards ceremony on March 15, taking it with him in his suitcase on the plane without incident. He returned to the United States in April, again carrying the statue on board as carry-on luggage.

But after the return trip Mr. Nobody is against Putin Co-director David Borenstein posted the story of the missing Oscar on Instagram, complete with a before photo showing Tallakin with the Oscar hanging in a mesh bag attached to his belt and a later photo of the missing baggage voucher.

He flagged down Lufthansa, requesting assistance in recovering the missing Oscar, which led to its location later in the week.
