The stars always descend on the Cannes Lions Festival. This year, Chaka Khan and Wyclef Jean are among the big names coming to the Croisette to perform, while Babyface, Jadakiss and Fat Joe will be presenting and sharing their thoughts at this year’s edition, presented by HarborView Equity Partners. In fact, Wyclef Jean is described in his DJ form as “Africaly Jean Presents the Wycliffe Jean Carnival”.

The investment firm, which focuses on opportunities in the music, sports, media and entertainment sectors, is once again bringing together stars, creatives and entrepreneurs for what it describes as an expanded three-day program of curated talks and presentations. This year’s theme is: “Supervision: In Motion.”

Programming and performances will also feature Stephen Bartlett, Finn Askew, Sasha Cable, Elmin, Flottery, Rob Markman, SoundCloud CEO Elijah Seaton, Luminate CEO Rob Jonas, and Chef Kwame Onwuachi. HarborView’s programming was featured last year at Cannes Lions by the likes of Issa Rae and will.i.am.

“Creativity is one of the most powerful forces shaping culture and business today,” said Sherice Clark, founder, CEO and chief investment officer of HarborView. “As the worlds of entertainment, technology, media and finance become increasingly interconnected, Cannes Lions provides an important forum for the leaders driving this evolution. What makes this year’s programming especially meaningful is the opportunity to bring together these cultural leaders who are helping to define both the HarborView portfolio and the future of culture. It reflects our belief that stewardship goes beyond ownership – it’s about creating platforms where creativity and long-term value can flourish.”

“Cannes Lions is a celebration of creativity at its highest levels, making it a powerful platform to highlight creators, catalogs and intellectual property across the HarborView portfolio,” added Lucinda Martinez, Chief Marketing Officer at HarbourView.. Through our programs and talks, we showcase the impact of creative works that continue to resonate with audiences, shape culture, and demonstrate the importance of intellectual property in today’s global entertainment ecosystem.

HarborView, based in Newark, New Jersey, launched in 2021, seeking “intellectual property-backed business or asset-backed businesses and investment opportunities aimed at building lasting asset value and returns.” The company has been one of the most active in the music catalog acquisition space over the past several years. In addition to Chaka Khan’s recent catalog deal, the company has deals with artists including Kelly Clarkson, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and Christine McVie.
