‘Dhamaal 4’ begins with an AI-recreated tribute to late actor Satish Kaushik as Bhatta Bhai, thanking wife Shashi Kaushik in the credits. Jackie Shroff also makes an appearance. Dhamaal 4 hit theaters today, garnering huge anticipation thanks to its cast, entertaining trailer and the long-standing popularity of the franchise. The film concludes with the excitement of the follow-up to ‘Dhamaal 5’.
But there’s another surprise at the beginning: the film begins with an animation sequence bringing back popular late actor Satish Kaushik in the role of Bhatta Bhai.
Director Satish Kaushik’s Patta Bhai has been recreated using CGI and AI
Kaushik brought the character to life for the first time in the second film of the franchise, ‘Double Dhamaal’ (2011), where his comedic antics struck a chord with audiences. Since the veteran actor died in 2023, the filmmakers resorted to CGI and artificial intelligence to recreate him on screen in this sequence.
In appreciation, the opening credits also carry a message of thanks to his wife Shashi Kaushik.
Jackie Shroff Second special appearance
Jackie Shroff also appears in this animated sequence, marking his second special role in the world of ‘Dhamaal’. He had previously lent his voice to GPS in the third installment of the series, ‘Total Dhamaal’ (2019), a tabori-style device that guides Ajay Devgn’s character towards the quickest route, which had divided audiences.

“Paisa Lao”: Recreating Bella Ciao
Another highlight of the film is “Paisa Lao”, a new rendition of the Italian song “Bella Ciao”, which became famous internationally after its appearance in the popular series “Money Heist”. This version is written by Tanishk Bagchi and features vocals by Neeraj Shridhar.
